VAMPIRE WEEKEND
Packaging Design
Redesign identity and packaging for a vinyl album by the New York based alternative rock band Vampire Weekend

It’s a visual of the 1966 New York City smog event - a major
air-pollution, cause environmental disaster with severe public health effects. Merge this stunning "surrealistic" image with the chrome sphere indicates the within the beautiful melody there also is the music haunting qualities.

Contrast with the simple and minimalistic design of the inserts is the opening ceremony of the gate fold - an extended visual of what being shown on the cover. The silver chrome fabric represents the ear catching silky melody of the band's music and the city scape breaks out from the sphere represents the freedom of expression in music.
